Campaigns are often seen by millions of people. As such, brands have the possibility to mold the values of an entire society. In this talk Tim & Baba share the underestimated power of stereotyping in advertising and media. They also hope to inspire next generation marketing professionals and creatives to use the positive effect of unstereotyping to successfully build brands and create social change.
Who are Tim and Baba?
Baba Touré is co-founder of social creative agency Hammerfest and board member of RA*W. This foundation gives young talent in the advertising industry a platform to develop themselves and their careers.
Tim Claassen is strategy director at Havas Lemz, an agency dedicated to making a meaningful difference for brands, businesses and people. Tim is also jury member for the Effie Awards (Social Impact category).
Tim and Baba are both part of the VEA task force dedicated to (un)stereotyping in the creative industry.
